Our History
The first Maronite Catholic presence in Wisconsin.
Founded by devoted families seeking to preserve and share the faith, traditions, and beautiful Maronite Liturgy.
Founded in 2013
Saint Sharbel Mission began with prayer, devotion, and a desire for a Maronite Catholic home.
Founded in 2013, Saint Sharbel Mission became the first Maronite Catholic presence in the State of Wisconsin, established by a small group of devoted Christian families from Lebanon and neighboring Arab countries who longed to preserve and share their faith, traditions, and beautiful Maronite Liturgy. With the blessing and patronage of Bishop Elias Zaidan, the Mission celebrated its first Divine Liturgy on December 15, 2013, with Chorbishop Sharbel Maroun presiding over the inaugural Mass.
Over the years, the Mission has continued to grow in faith, fellowship, and devotion. Though small in number, our community remains deeply rooted in prayer, love, and the rich spiritual heritage of the Maronite Church. Under the patronage of Saint Sharbel, whom we hold with great devotion, we continue to pray and work toward finding a permanent church home where future generations may gather to worship, serve, and experience the beauty and spirituality of the centuries-old Maronite Catholic tradition.
